4 lbs | 1816g / 64oz | Italian peasant bread slices (large) |
2 | Garlic cloves - cut in halves | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Extra-virgin olive oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sea salt or rock salt |
Preheat the grill or broiler.
Grill or toast both sides of the 4 slices of bread until golden brown. Place the hot, toasted bread on serving platters.
Careful not to break the bread, generously rub each bread slice with the cut sides of the garlic cloves. Drizzle the olive oil generously in equal amounts over the bread slices. Sprinkle with salt and serve the hot bruschetta immediately.
