Hot Chocolate Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 948ml | Milk |
1 cup | 237ml | Heavy cream |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla extract |
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Bitter chocolate |

Place milk, cream, sugar and vanilla in a 4-quart saucepan and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, grate chocolate (using box cheese grater) to small pieces.
Add chocolate to milk mixture, remove from heat and stir until melted, thick and smooth. Serve warm with Churros (the recipe for which is included in this collection), if desired.
This recipe yields 5 to 6 cups.
