The Junior Turkey Club Recipe - Cooking Index
When buying turkey at the deli, look for fresh baked turkey rather than turkey roll — and use it right away.
Type: Poultry, Turkey1 | Thin baguette, abt 5" - halved lengthwise
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Mayonnaise |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Dijon mustard |
2 | Thin slices smoked turkey breast - (to 3)
2 | Thin slices Monterey Jack or Muenster chee
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Prepared coleslaw |
Scoop out the inside of the top half of the baguette. Combine the mayonnaise and mustard; spread the bottom half of the baguette with 1 tablespoon of the mixture and spread the top half with 1 teaspoon.
Cover the bottom half of the baguette with the turkey and cheese. Spread the cheese with 1 teaspoon of the mayonnaise mixture; top with the coleslaw. Cover with the top of the baguette; slice the sandwich in half on the diagonal. Wrap well.
