Quick Spinach Recipe - Cooking Index
12 oz | 340g | Fresh spinach |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh lemon juice |
Wash and drain the spinach, leaving some water on the leaves. Place in a pot, cover and cook over medium heat, turning once, until just wilted, about 2 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper, then toss with oil and lemon juice. Serve immediately.
This recipe yields 2 servings.
Per serving: 90 calories, 5g carbohydrate, 4g protein, 7g fat, no cholesterol.
