Sweet Chili Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Rice vinegar |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Ketchup |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chinese plum sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced peeled fresh ginger |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Finely-minced garlic |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Minced fresh red chili with seeds |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cornstarch - mixed with |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Water |
Bring all the ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool to room temperature.
This recipe yields about 1 cup.
