Light Lemon Yogurt Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
Gently drain the liquid from the top of the yogurt before combining with other ingredients so that the flavors are not diluted.
Courses: Sauces1 cup | 237ml | Plain nonfat yogurt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Finely-grated lemon zest |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh lemon juice |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped fresh mint or parsley - if available |
= (or 1/2 tspn dried tarragon) | ||
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate, covered, until needed.
This recipe yields 1 cup.
Per 2 tablespoons: 20 calories, 3g carbohydrates, 2g protein, no fat, no cholesterol.
