Lemon-Basil Green Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Green beans |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Freshly-grated lemon peel |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Fresh basil - thinly sliced |
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook green beans 5 to 6 minutes until barely tender. Drain into a collander.
In the same pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add green beans, lemon zest, salt and pepper; stir to coat. Remove from heat. Toss with basil and serve immediately.
