Mushrooms And Peas For Pasta Or Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter |
1/4 cup | 59ml | White wine |
10 oz | 284g | Fresh mushrooms sliced |
1/2 | Heavy cream - (room temp) | |
Evenly - (try an egg slicer) | ||
1 | Half and half - (room temp) | |
5 oz | 142g | Frozen baby peas |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated parmigiana cheese |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Olive oil |
Pasta or rice |
Melt butter in olive oil. Sautee mushrooms and peas about 5 minute. Add wine and simmer 5 minutes. Turn off heat. Add cream and half and half and mix well. (never cook cream or half and half on high heat- it will separate).
Cook pasta or rice according to directions and drain well but keep hot. Mix with sauce and toss with 1/2 th cheese. Serve hot with extra cheese on the side.
