Rich Cheddar Cheese Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
This sauce is great over vegetables -- especially cauliflower and broccoli. Or add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to make a cheesy sauce for fish!
Courses: Sauces1 cup | 237ml | Heavy cream |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Cheddar cheese |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Mustard |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Paprika |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Worcestershire sauce |
Use a double boiler or place saucepan into a larger pot of boiling water. Add all ingredients, stirring very frequently until smooth (usually about 10 minutes.)
Serve warm.
This recipe yields 16 servings; 0.8 carb grams per serving.
