Cheddar Almond PEte Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Unblanched almonds |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Shredded cheddar cheese |
4 oz | 113g | Cream cheese - cubed |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dry sherry |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dijon mustard |
1 | Cayenne |
Spread almonds on a baking sheet; bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until toasted. Chop almonds finely; set aside.
In food processor or by hand in a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sherry, mustard and cayenne; blend until smooth. Add nuts and process to mix.
Serve immediately or refrigerate in covered container for up to 3 days.
This recipe yields 6 servings; approximately 3.7 carb grams per serving.
