Mom's (Calhoun) Spaghetti Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Onion - sliced (large) | |
4 | Garlic cloves - crushed (large) | |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground beef |
14 1/2 oz | 411g | Stewed tomatoes |
14 oz | 397g | Italian sauce - save jar-or use can of spaghetti sauce |
Garlic salt | ||
Oregano | ||
Mint | ||
Parsley - dried | ||
Pepper |
Brown meat. Add garlic salt and then onion and garlic. Stir. Add stewed tomatoes and spaghetti sauce. Stir. Add oregano, mint, parsley, and pepper. Mix. Then fill 1/2 of jar w/ water and add to sauce. Add more water if needed later. Cook on high until bubbling. Turn down to low heat and cook for at least an hour.
