Meatballs For Spaghetti

1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24ozGround beef
1   Garlic clove - minced
1   Egg - beaten lightly
3 tablespoons 45mlOil
3/4 cup 109g / 3.8ozDried bread crumbs
3 tablespoons 45mlParsley - minced
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlPepper freshly ground
1 1/2 tablespoons 22mlBasil - crumbled

Recipe Instructions

1. Combine the beef, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, and pepper Mix thoroughly and shape into balls 1 inch in diameter. Melt the oil in a saucepan. Brown the meatballs lightly on all sides; drain off the fat. Add tomato sauce, cover, and simmer 40 minutes. Serve over spaghetti.
