Waffles Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | All-purpose flour |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Whole-wheat flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
3 | Eggs | |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Buttermilk |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Melted butter - cooled |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Milk - more if needed |
Pour flour into mixing bowl and add other dry ingredients. Using fork, stir to blend.
In another large bowl, beat eggs until well blended. Stir in buttermilk and melted butter. Add flour mixture and stir again, until well mixed. The batter should flow smoothly from a spoon into the hot waffle iron. If needed, add more milk to thin batter.
Bake waffles until golden-crisp.
This recipe yields about 6 waffles.
