Lionel Barrymores' Fettucine Alfredo Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Fettuccini |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Butter |
3 | Parmesan cheese |
Boil unbroken noodles in as much water as your largest pot will hold. Add salt when water first begins to boil, then add noodles. Boil 20 minutes. Cut butter in cubes on a hot plate. When the noodles are done, drain.
Stir the cheese and butter into the noodles, being sure that all are carefully mixed and blended. You may not have Alfredo's golden spoon, but you'll have his loving care.
