Linguini With Tomato-Basil Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
4 | Garlic - peeled and minced | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Olive oil |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Italian plum tomatoes - coarsely chopped |
Salt and pepper - to taste | ||
18 oz | 511g | Linguini - or other thin pasta |
1 | Fresh basil leaves - no stems, chopped | |
12 tablespoons | 180ml | Parmesan cheese - freshly grated |
Sauteegarlic in olive oil until golden, but not brown. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and simmer over med. heat for 20 minutes
Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package. When sauce is done simmering, remove from heat and stir in basil. Toss pasta with sauce and serve. Top with cheese.
