Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 198g / 7ozMelted unsalted butter - (2 sticks)
1 1/2 cups 240g / 8.5ozDark brown sugar - (packed)
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozGranulated sugar
2   Eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlVanilla extract
3/8 teaspoon 1.9mlSalt
2 teaspoons 10mlBaking soda
2 cups 125g / 4.4ozFlour - plus
2 tablespoons 30mlFlour
3 cups 330g / 11ozChocolate chips or chunks

Recipe Instructions

Combine the butter, brown and granulated sugars, eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda, flour and chocolate. Chill the batter 20 to 30 minutes (or refrigerate up to three days).

Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Stack 2 baking sheets together and line the top one with parchment paper. Place big gobs of dough on the baking sheet (about 3 tablespoons full) 2 inches apart. Bake the cookies until they're puffed up and set, 12 to 14 minutes. Let them rest on the sheet before removing, about 10 minutes.

This recipe yields 18 cookies.
