Garlicky Bread Crumbs

Recipe Ingredients

3   European-style country bread
2   Garlic cloves - minced
2 tablespoons 30mlExtra-virgin olive oil
  Salt - to taste
  Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Tear bread into pieces and place in food processor. Process until bread crumbs are very coarse. Transfer crumbs to small bowl and add garlic, olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to mix.

Spread bread crumbs on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Be careful not to let them burn.

This recipe yields 2 cups.

Each 2-tablespoon serving: 34 calories; 57 mg sodium; 0 cholesterol; 2 grams fat; 4 grams carbohydrates; 1 gram protein; 0.02 gram fiber.
