1/2 cup | 118ml | Light mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Light sour cream |
Hot sauce - to taste | ||
6 | Cooked bacon - crumbled | |
1 | Tomato - halved, seeded, (large) | |
And diced small | ||
1/2 | Iceberg lettuce - cored, diced small | |
And chilled | ||
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced parsley for garnish - (optional) |
Combine mayonnaise, sour cream and few drops hot sauce in 1 1/2 quart bowl. Add bacon and tomato. (Can be made several hours ahead and refrigerated.)
To serve, stir in lettuce and season to taste with salt, pepper and hot sauce. Garnish with parsley, if using. Serve immediately.
This recipe yields 8 to 12 servings.
