2 cups | 474ml | Chicken or beef broth |
3 cups | 711ml | Tomato juice |
1 | Cream of tomato soup - (11 oz) | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Garlic powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
5 cups | 730g / 25oz | Shredded or diced cabbage - (to 6 cups) |

Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Saute ground beef in large pot over medium-high heat until browned, 5 minutes. Add onion and cook until translucent, 5 minutes. Add broth, tomato juice, tomato soup, garlic powder, sugar, cabbage and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until cabbage is very tender, about 20 to 30 minutes.
This recipe yields 8 servings.
