The Chocolate Cake

Recipe Ingredients

1   Box devil's food cake mix - (1 lb. 2.25 oz
1   Instant chocolate pudding - (4-oz)
5   Eggs
1   Sour cream - (16 oz)
1 cup 198g / 7ozMelted butter - (2 sticks)
1 teaspoon 5mlAlmond extract
2 cups 220g / 7.8ozChocolate chips
  Butter - for greasing
  Powdered sugar - (optional)

Recipe Instructions

In large bowl, mix together cake mix, pudding, eggs, sour cream, butter and almond extract. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into greased 12-cup bundt pan.

Bake at 350 degrees until top is springy to touch, 50 to 55 minutes. Cool in pan on rack. Remove cake to serving plate.

This cake can be dusted with powdered sugar or topped with a chocolate or white chocolate glaze. Add nuts, too, if you'd like.

This recipe yields 12 to 14 servings.
