1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Margarine - softened |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Granulated sugar |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Brown sugar - (lightly packed) |
2 | Eggs | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract |
2 1/4 cups | 140g / 4.9oz | Flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Chopped walnuts |
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Semisweet chocolate chips |
Combine margarine, sugars, eggs and vanilla in large bowl. Mix 1 minute at low speed.
In separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, walnuts and chocolate chips. Add flour mixture to egg mixture and stir until ingredients are completely incorporated.
Drop or scoop 2 tablespoons batter for each cookie onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased. Press down until it forms 1/2-inch thick round.
Bake at 375 degrees until cookies are lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Do not over-bake. Cool on wire rack.
Each cookie: 241 calories; 158 mg sodium; 14 mg cholesterol; 15 grams fat; 18 grams carbohydrates; 3 grams protein; 0.39 gram fiber.
