Mushroom Pilaf Recipe - Cooking Index
Many mushroom varieties can go into this dish.
Type: Vegetables| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - diced very fine (medium) |
| 2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Long-grain white rice |
| 1/4 lb | 113g / 4oz | Mushrooms - sliced |
| 3 1/2 cups | 829ml | Beef broth |
Melt the butter in a large saute pan or skillet. Add the onion and rice, stirring until golden brown in color. Stir in the mushrooms, and then the beef broth. Cover.
Bring to a boil and lower the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 20 minutes or until all the broth is absorbed.
This recipe yields 6 side dish servings.
