1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 | Large can tomato sauce | |
4 | Celery sticks - diced | |
1/2 | Cabbage head - chopped | |
3 | Tomatoes - chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Soy sauce |
1 | Liquid Smoke | |
1 | Taco sauce | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry red wine - (optional) |
1 | Chicken gravy mix | |
1 | Brown gravy mix | |
1 | Au Jus mix | |
1 | Corn | |
1 | Green pepper - diced | |
3 | Potatoes - diced | |
3 | Carrots - diced |
Place venison, onions, salt, garlic salt, pepper, tomato sauce, celery and cabbage in pan or slow cooker, and cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Add tomatoes, soy sauce, Liquid Smoke, taco sauce, wine, all package mixes, corn, and green peppers and cook another 45 minutes.
Add potatoes and carrots, and cook an additional 20 to 30 minutes until potatoes are tender.
This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
