Bourbon BBQ Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Tomato ketchup - (14 oz ea) | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Bourbon |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Molasses |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Creole or whole grain mustard |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped garlic |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onions |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Light brown sugar - (firmly packed) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Hot pepper sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cayenne |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Grated peeled fresh ginger |
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until smooth, about 15 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Pulse 2 or 3 times. Store in a sterilized container until ready to use.
This recipe yields about 1 quart.
