German Spaghetti Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index

4 | Bacon - cut lengthwise | |
1 | Onion - chopped (large) | |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
16 oz | 454g | Tomato sauce |
1 | Tomatoes - drained, chpd | |
Juice reserved | ||
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Sugar |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Elbow spaghetti - cooked |

Brown and drain hamburger. Lightly cook bacon; retain fat and cook onions until transparent. Salt and pepper hamburger to taste. Add bacon, onion, tomatoes and juice, tomato sauce, and sugar to hamburger. Simmer 30 minutes. Add cooked spaghetti. Put into large, greased casserole and bake 1 hour at 350F.
