Herbed Chevre In Fillo Recipe - Cooking Index
11 oz | 312g | Fresh chevre (goat) cheese log |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh basil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh dill |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh tarragon |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh parsley |
6 | Sheets Athens or Apollo fillo dough | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter - softened |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Bread crumbs |
Roil cheese in chopped herbs to cover completely.
Prepare fillo strudel and sprinkle bread crumbs between layers. Roll cheese in layered fillo. Score log 20 times for 1/2-inch slices. Brush outside with butter and place on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let sit 15 minutes. Serve warm, 2 slices per portion, with tossed lettuce greens.
