Foil-Wrapped Texas Springsweet Onions Recipe - Cooking Index
Serve these melt-in-your-mouth SpringSweet Onions as a tasty side dish with barbecue beef poultry, or fish.

Texas 1015 SuperSweet Onions - - (14 to 16 oz ea) | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Peel onions. Slice tops and bottoms off onions and cut an X halfway through each. Brush onions with Worcestershire sauce. Dot with butter or margarine and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bundle-wrap each onion in heavy-duty aluminum foil. Place in hot coals and roast 45 to 60 minutes or cook in a covered grill over medium, indirect heat for 50 minutes, opening packet during last 5 minutes. Halve onions and serve.
