Cranberry Apple Swirl Recipe - Cooking Index
This dessert looks beautiful served on your holiday table, with its sparkling red layers alternating with snowy white ones.
Courses: Dessert1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Cranberry-Orange Cinnamon Sauce - (see recipe) |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Diced apple (any variety) |
1 cup | 237ml | Nonfat plain yogurt |
2 cups | 474ml | Low-fat sour cream |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Orange juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Honey |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Grated orange peel |
Combine the cranberry sauce and apples. Mix together the yogurt, sour cream, juice, honey, and cinnamon.
In six wine, parfait, or champagne glasses, place a layer of the cranberry-apple mixture. Add a layer of the yogurt mixture. Keep layering, ending with the yogurt mixture. Sprinkle orange peel on top and serve.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1 cup.
