Hot Chocolate Recipe - Cooking Index
Brrrrrrr! Some days just call for hot chocolate. Although this recipe makes one serving, you can easily double or triple it when friends come by. Use the best quality unsweetened cocoa powder that you can find. For extra flavor, crush a small peppermint hard candy in the hot cocoa and stir to blend.
Serves: 1 people1 cup | 237ml | Fat-free milk - heated |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Confectioners sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Unsweetened cocoa powder |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Vanilla extract |
In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until bubbles appear at the sides of the pan, 2 minutes. Whisk in the sugar, cocoa, and vanilla until smooth.
This recipe yields 1 serving. Serving size: 1 cup.
