Asparagus With Slivered Garlic Recipe - Cooking Index
3 cups | 711ml | Diagonally-sliced fresh asparagus |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Olive oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dry white wine |
2 | Garlic cloves - slivered | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Minced red onion |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1 | Salt - (optional) |
Blanch the asparagus for 3 minutes in a pot of boiling water and drain.
Heat the oil and wine in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and saute for 4 minutes. Toss the mixture with the asparagus. Sprinkle lemon juice, pepper, and salt to serve.
