Spicy Applesauce-Raisin Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 30g / 1.1oz | Fiber One cereal |
1 3/4 cups | 109g / 3.8oz | Gold Medal all-purpose flour |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Applesauce |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vegetable oil |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Apple pie spice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 | Egg | |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 9 by 5 by 3 inches. Crush cereal if desired. (Place cereal in plastic bag or between sheets of waxed paper; crush with rolling pin. Or crush in blender or food processor.)
Stir together all ingredients except raisins in large bowl; beat 30 seconds using spoon or mixer. Stir in raisins. Pour into pan.
Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
