Red Pepper Hummus

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup 118mlCanned chickpeas - drained
2   Roasted red peppers - see * Note
1 tablespoon 15mlSesame tahini
2 tablespoons 30mlPlain low-fat yogurt
2   Garlic cloves - minced
1 tablespoon 15mlMinced onion
1   Cayene pepper
  Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

Recipe Instructions

* Note: Purchase roasted red peppers in a jar from the condiment aisle in the grocery store.

Combine the first three ingredients in a blender until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and process until smooth.

This recipe yields 12 servings. Serving size: 2 tablespoons.
