Red Pepper Hummus Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Canned chickpeas - drained |
2 | Roasted red peppers - see * Note | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sesame tahini |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Plain low-fat yogurt |
2 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced onion |
1 | Cayene pepper | |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
* Note: Purchase roasted red peppers in a jar from the condiment aisle in the grocery store.
Combine the first three ingredients in a blender until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and process until smooth.
This recipe yields 12 servings. Serving size: 2 tablespoons.
