Rice Parmesan Recipe - Cooking Index
You can probably make this dish anytime with ingredients you have on hand.
Type: Rice1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - chopped (medium) |
1 | Garlic clove - minced | |
1 cup | 237ml | Low-sodium chicken broth |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Uncooked rice |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry white wine |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated Parmesan cheese |
In a skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and garlic and saute for 8 minutes.
Stir in chicken broth, rice, and wine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and continue cooking for 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Transfer to a serving bowl, and add cheese before serving.
This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: about 1/2 cup.
