Green Beans With Tomatoes And Herbs Recipe - Cooking Index
The sauce for this recipe can be used as an all-around basic tomato sauce. Substitute zucchini, asparagus, or broccoli for the green beans if you like.

1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Trimmed green beans |

Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Add the garlic and onion and saute for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add the green beans. Cover and cook for 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: about 3/4 cup.
