Blueberries With Almond Cream Recipe - Cooking Index
This is an elegant way to dress up seasonal berries. You can also use the cream cheese topping to spread on homemade carrot or zucchini bread.

1/2 cup | 118ml | Reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchatel) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fat-free milk |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Powdered sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Almond extract |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Toasted sliced almonds |
Divide the blueberries among four dessert dishes.
Using electric beaters, cream together the cream cheese, milk, and sugar until smooth. Add the extract and mix 10 seconds more. Fold in the almonds.
Serve the blueberries with a dollop of almond cream.
This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: about 1/2 cup.
