Sweet Potato And Turnip Swirl Recipe - Cooking Index
The pairing of sweet potatoes and turnips could make a turnip lover out of all of us.

2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Sweet potatoes - peeled, cubed (medium) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Minced ginger |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Low-calorie margarine |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Grated orange peel |
In a medium saucepan, cook the turnips and sweet potatoes in boiling water to cover until soft, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain. Transfer to a food processor and puree.
In a saucepan, combine the ginger, margarine, sugar, and orange peel. Add the puree, and coat it with the margarine mixture. Serve warm.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1/2 cup.
