Fruited Couscous Breakfast Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Water |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Unsweetened apple juice |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Dry couscous |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Golden raisins |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Dried apricots |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Allspice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Honey - (optional) |
In a medium saucepan bring the water and apple juice to a boil.
Add the couscous, raisins and apricots. Remove from the stove and let stand for 6 minutes, covered.
Drain any excess water from the couscous. Add the remaining ingredients and serve.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1/2 cup.
