Sunshine Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
An easy and excellent sauce for fish. Fish that is poached or baked or broiled without added fat is generally so low in fat that this sauce may be served and counted as a free food to enhance the fish.
Courses: Sauces1/2 cup | 118ml | Unsweetened orange juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Margarine |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Grated fresh orange rind |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 | Ground nutmeg | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced fresh parsley |
Combine all ingredients in small pan. Heat until warmed through. Serve over poached or broiled fillets.
This recipe yields 1/2 cup. Serving size: 2 tablespoons.
