Speedy Fruit Compote Recipe - Cooking Index
This compote can be used as a dessert, side dish, or as a topping for pancakes, waffles, yogurt, or ice cream.
Type: Fruit1/4 | Pear - peeled, chopped | |
1/4 | Orange - peeled, chopped | |
1/4 | Apple - peeled, chopped | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dehydrated cranberries |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Unsweetened orange juice |
Combine all ingredients in a small microwave-safe bowl. (You may substitute raisins, dried apricots, or dried pineapples for the cranberries.) Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
For extra flavor, sprinkle with cinnamon or 2 tablespoons crushed, whole-grain cereal.
