Pear Crumble Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Margarine - cut in 1/2" dice |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Uncooked quick-cooking oats |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | All-purpose flour |
Sugar substitute equal to 2 tbspns sugar | ||
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Chopped firm-ripe pears |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Fresh lemon juice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Grated lemon rind |
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare an 8-inch pie plate with vegetable pan-coating.
Toss margarine, oats, flour, and sweetener together in a medium mixing bowl; reserve.
Place pears in another mixing bowl and toss with lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon rind. Arrange pears in the prepared pan. Sprinkle oat mixture over fruit.
Bake for 15 minutes. Serve warm or cool.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
