Hot Grits Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 948ml | Water |
1 cup | 237ml | Quick grits |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt - (optional) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Reduced-fat soft margarine |
Place water in a medium pot and bring to a rapid boil over high heat. Gradually add grits and salt, whisking constantly. Reduce heat and slow boil until grits are done, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and dot top of grits with margarine. Stir again before serving hot.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
