Concord Grape Jelly Spread Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Pure Concord grape juice |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Fresh lemon juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Granulated gelatin |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cold water |
Sugar substitute equal to 1/4 cup sugar |
Combine grape juice and lemon juice in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil; simmer 3 to 4 minutes.
Meanwhile, soak gelatin in cold water.
Remove grape juice from heat. Add gelatin and sweetener; mix well to dissolve. Pour into two small, hot jars, cover lightly, and cool.
Cover tightly and store in refrigerator no longer than two weeks.
This recipe yields 1 1/2 cups. Serving size: 1 tablespoon.
