Spanish Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 240g / 8.5oz | Raw long-grain rice |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil, butter or margarine |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Tomato juice |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Water |
1 | Onion - chopped | |
1 | Green pepper - chopped | |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Hamburger or sausage - fried and drained |
Saute raw rice in oil until golden brown. Place in crockpot with all remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours (HIGH 2 to 3 hours). Serve.
