Spaghetti Sauce III Recipe - Cooking Index
This good to make in quantity each fall when tomatoes and green peppers are at their lowest prices, then freeze it in milk bags and eat delicious sauce all winter until the next season.

3 | Onions - finely chopped (large) | |
2 | Green peppers - finely chopped (large) | |
2 | Garlic cloves - crushed | |
8 | Fresh tomatoes - (to 10) - scalded and peeled | |
2 | Tomato paste | |
1 | Small can mushrooms | |
1 | Italian seasoning | |
1 | Garlic salt | |
1 | Parsley | |
1 | Basil | |
1 | Oregano | |
1 | Chili pepper | |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground beef - browned |
In a frying pan saute the onions and celery together with a little margarine; this will bring out juices and will enhance the flavor.
Put the whole list of ingredients together in the crockpot; stir and let it go for 8 to 10 hours on LOW.
Freezes well.
