3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Ground beef |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Chopped onions |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Chopped celery |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped green pepper |
1 | Prepared chili sauce - (12 oz) | |
1 | Tomato paste - (6 oz) | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar - (to 3 tbspns) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
10 | Sandwich buns - (to 12) |
In 5-quart Dutch oven, brown ground beef, onions, celery and green pepper; drain. Place ground beef mixture in slow cooker; stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 3 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve on sandwich buns.
This recipe yields 10 to 12 servings.
