Hot Beef Sandwiches Au Jus Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Beef rump roast - (4 to 5 lbs) | |
1 | Dry onion soup mix - (1 oz) | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried oregano leaves |
2 | Condensed beef broth - (10 1/2 oz ea) | |
1 | Beer - (12 oz) | |
2 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
16 | Onion buns |
Place beef roast in 3 1/2- to 4-quart crockpot. In medium bowl, combine all remaining ingredients except buns; mix well. Pour over roast. Cover; cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Slice or shred beef. Serve in buns. If desired, skim fat from juices. Serve sandwiches with individual portions of meat juices for dipping.
This recipe yields 16 sandwiches.
