BBQ Beef For Sandwiches Recipe - Cooking Index
2 1/2 lbs | 1135g / 40oz | Lean chuck or bottom round roast - (to 3) - trimmed |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Ketchup |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar - (packed) |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Red wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dijon mustard |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Liquid smoke flavoring |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic powder |
6 | Sandwich buns - (to 8) |
Place roast in crockpot. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over roast. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
Remove roast, shred meat. Place shredded meat back in crockpot; stir to coat well. Spoon onto sandwich buns with extra sauce, if desired.
This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
