1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground nutmeg |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Milk |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soft butter or margarine |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |

1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Bisquick |
Topping | ||
1 cup | 237ml | Bisquick |
1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | Brown sugar |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Cold butter or margarine |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sliced nuts |
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream |
In a large bowl toss apples with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Place in a large (4- to 6-quart) greased crockpot. In another bowl, combine milk, butter or margarine, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and 1/2 cup Bisquick. Spoon over apples.
In another bowl, combine 1 cup Bisquick and brown sugar. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Add nuts. Sprinkle the streusel topping over the apples in the crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours or until the apples are tender. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
