Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce (Crock Pot) Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Italian sausage (sweet, hot, or mild) |
48 oz | 1363g | Spaghetti sauce |
1 | Tomato paste - (6 oz) | |
1 | Green pepper - sliced thin | |
1 | Onion - sliced thin (large) | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Parmesan cheese |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Parsley flakes |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
Place sausage in skillet and cover in water. Simmer 10 minutes; drain. Meanwhile, place remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Add drained sausage and cover; cook on LOW 4 hours. Increase to HIGH; cook 1 hour more.
Cut sausage in bite-size slices and serve with sauce over hot cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with more Parmesan, if desired.
