2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Round steak - cut 1" cubes |
15 | Tomato sauce | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Paprika |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Light brown sugar - (packed) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cider vinegar |
1/2 cup | 164g / 5.8oz | Light corn syrup |
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Peeled sliced carrots |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Chopped onions |
1 cup | 237ml | Green bell pepper - cut 1" squares (large) |
4 oz | 113g | Pineapple chunks - drained |
Heat oil in skillet and brown round steak. Transfer to crockpot or large kettle. Stir in tomato sauce, paprika, brown sugar, salt, vinegar, corn syrup, carrots, onions, green pepper, and pineapple. Cover and simmer for 6 hours or until meat is tender.
Serve in bread bowls if desired.
